Sri Balaji Furnitures

Sri Balaji Furnitures is located at No. 13/3 in Indira Gandhi Nagar. We are right across from the IDPL Colony in Bala Nagar. If you walk down the street, you can’t really miss us because of all the wood and the smell of sawdust in the air. We’ve been making and selling furniture here for quite some time now. It’s a workshop and a small showroom all in one. We have a few guys who work on the pieces in the back. It’s pretty noisy because of the saws and the sanding machines running all day. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned showroom or anything like that. It’s just the pieces we’ve finished sitting out for people to see. We make beds, tables, and cupboards mostly. Sometimes people bring in a drawing of what they want, and we see if we can build it for them. We use local wood and simple tools. It’s a lot of manual work. My hands are usually covered in some kind of stain or dust by the end of the day. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just see the furniture out front and stop their cars to take a look. Bala Nagar is a busy area, so we get a lot of people passing by our door. We try to keep our prices fair so the local families can afford what we make. It’s just a small shop trying to make a living.
