Star & Sitara Salon

We are up on the third floor of the Big Bazaar building in Abids. It’s a busy spot, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. The address is 4-1-833, right opposite the GPO. You have to take the lift or the stairs to find us. It’s just a regular salon. We have a few chairs and mirrors that have seen better days but they work fine. We’ve been here for a while now. Most people come in after they finish their grocery shopping downstairs. It’s convenient for them. We do hair and some face stuff, nothing too complicated. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with all the mall traffic, but we are used to it. The lights are bright, and we keep the floor swept as much as we can. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We know the other shopkeepers around the third floor. We often share some tea in the afternoons when it's quiet. If the lift is broken, it’s a long walk up, but people still come. We don't have fancy decorations. Just some pictures on the wall of different hair styles people might want. We use whatever tools we’ve had for years. They still cut well. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in Hyderabad. We just want to do a decent job so people come back next month. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
