Thirumala Hair Cutting Saloon

Our shop, Thirumala Hair Cutting Saloon, is over at 5-1-148/1 in Premavathi Pet, and it stays pretty busy most of the time. We have the usual barber chairs and some large mirrors that have been on the walls since we first started here in Rajendranagar. It’s a simple place where the local guys come to get their hair cut and talk about what’s going on in the neighborhood. We try to keep the floor clean, but on a busy Saturday, the hair starts to pile up pretty quick. The scissors and clippers need constant attention to keep them working right. We don't do any of those fancy styles you see in the city, just normal cuts and shaves for the people who live nearby. It can get pretty warm inside when the shop is full of customers, but we keep the fans blowing all day. Sometimes parents bring their kids in for a first haircut and they’re a bit nervous, so we have to take our time. We’ve seen many kids grow up in this area while sitting in our chairs over the years. It isn't a fancy salon with expensive bottles of stuff on the shelves, just a basic spot to get a trim. We open up early and stay until the last person is taken care of. Premavathi Pet is a lively place, and being right on the street means there is always someone passing by to wave at.
