Satya Mens Parlour Saloon

If you are ever passing through the Bandlaguda X Roads, you’ll probably see my place. It’s right there where the traffic gets all bunched up and the buses are constantly honking. I call it Satya Mens Parlour Saloon, but mostly people just know it as the spot at the crossroads. I have been cutting hair and doing shaves here for quite some time now. It’s a small shop, just enough room for a couple of chairs and some mirrors on the walls. It gets really dusty because of all the vehicles going by, so I’m always wiping down the glass and the counters. I don’t have fancy air conditioning or those high-end leather seats you see in the malls. It’s just basic chairs and sharp razors. People come in, they sit down, we talk about the news or the local cricket scores, and they go about their day. Some mornings I am busy from the moment I open the shutters, and other times I’m just sitting there watching the bikes fly past the junction. It’s a noisy spot, but I like being in the middle of everything. You see all sorts of people at the X roads. I keep my tools clean and my prices fair because that’s what keep the locals coming back. It is a simple life behind the chair, but it pays the bills and I get to hear all the local gossip.
