Srimurugan Textiles

Srimurugan Textiles has been sitting here in Koti for quite a while now. If you know Hyderabad, you know Koti is just one big maze of shops and people everywhere. Our place is right in the middle of all that chaos. Most of my day is spent sitting on the stool near the entrance, watching the crowds go by. Inside, we have rows of textiles piled up. It's mostly cotton and some fancy stuff for functions. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. Doing much advertising isn't something we ever bothered with. People just know we are here. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time because the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes, and then we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes here. My nephew helps me with the accounts, though he spends more time on his phone than looking at the books. Tea is our main drink while waiting for customers. When it rains, the water sometimes splashes under the door, so we have to move the fabric rolls back quickly. It’s a simple life running a textile shop. Most of the regular ladies who come to buy cloth for their family’s clothes are familiar faces. We just keep things moving and make sure we have enough colors in stock so there is something for everyone who walks through the door.
