Our place is at 8-2-248/a/5/21 on Road No 3 in Banjara Hills. It’s a good spot in a part of town that everyone knows. We do a mix of things here, from designing individual pieces to handling exports. It’s often a bit messy inside because of all the boxes and rolls of fabric waiting to be sent out. Banjara Hills is usually pretty lively, and Road No 3 is no exception with all the cars and people. Srihita Boutique Designers And Exports is where we do all our creative work. We have a few tables for drawing and cutting, and then the space where we pack things up for shipping. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s more of a working office and studio. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to get out, and we end up ordering food from one of the local spots nearby. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything; we just focus on the garments we are making. The hum of the sewing machines is the soundtrack to our days. We talk to suppliers a lot and try to make sure we have enough materials on hand. It can be stressful when deadlines are close, but we manage. Being in this part of Hyderabad means there’s always something going on outside our door. We just stay busy with our designs and try to keep everything moving along as it should. It’s a lot of work but we’ve gotten used to the pace of the export side.
