Sri Lalitha Sarees Matching Center is tucked away at Plot No. 775 in Mogulamma Basti. Being in the Pjr Nagar area of Hyderabad means there is always a lot of noise and people walking past our shop. We spend our days looking at different shades of cloth and trying to find the exact color that matches a customer's saree. It sounds easy but when you have a hundred different greens and blues, it can take a lot of time. The shop is small and filled with rolls of fabric and bundles of thread from floor to ceiling. Women come in with their expensive sarees and we help them find the right blouse piece or lining. Sometimes the lighting in the shop is not great so we have to take the cloth outside to the doorway to see the color in the natural sun. Hyderabad is a busy city and the traffic outside Mogulamma Basti is always loud with horns and rickshaws. We have a small stool for the ladies to sit on while they look through the stacks. My wife helps me keep the shelves organized because things get messy very quickly when we are busy. We don't do any big advertising, people just find us because we have been here in the basti for a while and they know we will spend the time to find the right match for them.
