Sri Boutique

Sri Boutique is situated on Sagar Road, right across from the Sama Narsimha Reddy Gardens in Champapet. Being across from the gardens is nice because there is at least some greenery to look at when we step outside for a break. Our address is 17-1-382/R/8 and it is a straightforward little shop. We handle a lot of blouse stitching and dress alterations for the ladies in the neighborhood. The shop can get quite hot during the summer months, so we keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. You’ll hear the constant hum of the sewing machines if you walk past. We have stacks of notebooks where we write down all the measurements and dates. Sometimes the handwriting is messy and we have to double-check things. It is just a few of us working here, trying to keep up with the daily rush. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just some racks and a mirror in the corner for trials. People from all over Champapet come by, usually in the evenings after they finish their own work. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, so it feels very familiar. There is always a lot of dust from Sagar Road, so we are constantly cleaning the glass. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing day after day. We like being part of this busy street.
