Sri Ankitha Beauty Parlour

Down in Abids, there is always something going on with all the shops and people walking around Hyderabad. Our place, Sri Ankitha Beauty Parlour, is tucked away behind the BJP Party Office. Being in 500001 means we are right in the middle of everything. It can be a bit hard to find if you don't know the back lanes, but once you find us, it’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main road. I spend most of my time here from morning until the evening. The shop isn't very large but we have everything we need to help the ladies who come in. Many people stop by after they finish their work or shopping nearby. We don't do anything too fancy, just the regular beauty work that everyone needs from time to time. The building is older, but it has a bit of character I think. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when there are no customers and just watch the people coming and going from the party office. It’s a good location even if it gets a bit dusty from all the construction and traffic nearby. We keep the mirrors clean and make sure there is enough water for the tea and for the work. It’s a steady kind of business. People trust us because we’ve been here and they know where to find us. That’s just the way it works in Abids for us.
