Smart Hair Saloon

Smart Hair Saloon has been sitting here at 11-4-67 on Niloufer Hospital Road in Bazarghat for quite some time now. If you know the area, we are tucked right behind the Himalaya Hotel, which most people use to find us when they get lost looking for the street number. The road outside is usually pretty noisy because of all the traffic going toward the hospital, but inside it stays mostly calm. It is just a regular shop with the usual chairs and mirrors you would expect to see in a local place. Sometimes the fan makes a little bit of a clicking sound when it is on high speed, but nobody seems to mind much. We spend most of the day just doing basic cuts and shaves for the men who live around here or work nearby. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast when it is busy, so we are always sweeping it up between jobs. People mostly come in without calling first, they just pull up their bikes and wait their turn on the bench. It is not a fancy setup, just a practical space where we get the work done. The lights are bright enough to see what we are doing, and we keep the combs in those little glass jars. Most of the regulars have been coming since we opened, so we know how they like their hair without them saying much. It is just a simple life here in Hyderabad.
