Sirula Magani Farmers Producer Company Limited is located at 1-25 in Rukmapur, which is in the Chegunta Mandal area. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to team up. It's a lot easier to deal with the markets and the suppliers when you aren't doing it all by yourself. The office is right there in the village, so it’s easy for anyone to drop by and have a chat. We talk a lot about the rains and the soil quality, because that's what matters most to us. Some years the harvest is great, and other years it’s a struggle to break even. That is just the way farming goes. By having this company, we try to take some of the pressure off the individual families. We handle the group buying and selling, which saves a bit of money here and there. It's not a fancy setup at all. You’ll mostly find us sitting around a table with some tea, looking at lists and trying to figure out the best timing for the next crop. We grew up here, we know every path and field in Rukmapur. The community is tight-knit, and this company is just another way for us to stick together. There's plenty of hard work to go around, and nobody is afraid to get their hands dirty. We just want to keep our farms going for the next generation of kids in the village.
