At Ss Woods Works, we spend our days surrounded by the smell of cut timber and sawdust. Our workshop is at House No. 32/62 in Rk Puram, Sikandrabad. It’s not a large place, but it’s enough for what we do. We have been working with wood for quite some time. You can usually find us covered in a bit of dust, holding a measuring tape or a saw. We don't have any fancy robots doing the work; it’s just us using the tools we’ve had for years. Rk Puram is a decent neighborhood, and people know they can find us here if they need something made or fixed. The floor is always covered in wood shavings, no matter how much we sweep. We don't really have a front office. If someone wants to talk to us, they just walk into the shop and find us at the workbench. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of wood and have to go out and find more, which takes time. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take a piece of wood and turn it into something useful. It’s hard on the hands and the back, but we like the work. We’ve stayed at House No. 32/62 because it’s where we started and it works for us. We just keep the saws running and keep building things for the neighbors.
