Our place is located at Plot No. 39 and 40 in Bala Nagar, right in the lane next to the HP petrol pump. We are on the second floor of the building that sits directly opposite the IDPL compound. We mostly make modular cabinets and different kinds of kitchen setups. The workshop part is where all the actual cutting and drilling happens, so the air can get quite dusty and it’s often very loud. We have a small area where we show people different types of wood laminates and drawer handles. It is certainly not a fancy mall showroom. We have samples lying around and old drawings pinned up on the walls. We work with a lot of local homeowners and some small builders too. Designing these things takes a lot of time because every kitchen is a slightly different size. Sometimes the measurements we take are a bit off and we have to go back and fix a piece. That is just how the modular furniture business works. We spend a lot of time in the heat because the second floor gets the sun for most of the day. Bala Nagar is a busy industrial area, so there are always big trucks moving around the lanes. We've been here for some time now and most of the neighbors know us. We don't use big fancy words to describe what we do. We just build stuff that fits in your house and helps you stay organized.
