Arman Furnitures

We’ve been running Arman Furnitures for a good while now right across from Shilpa Park in Kondapur. If you know the area, it’s No. 1-112/2/1, a bit of a busy street especially in the evenings when people are out walking. Mostly, we spend our days dealing with wood and sawdust. It’s a small shop but we keep busy enough with people from the R.R. District stopping by. Sometimes someone wants a new bed frame or just needs a cabinet fixed up. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us here getting our hands dirty. The shop isn’t anything fancy to look at, just a place where things get made. I usually have tea around four and watch the traffic go by the park. It can get pretty loud with the cars. We try to keep the finished pieces near the front so people can see them, though space is a bit tight. Making furniture takes time and sometimes we get behind when the weather is too humid and the wood doesn't behave right. That's just part of the job I suppose. We’ve seen a lot of neighbors move in and out of the area over the years. If you're looking for us, look for the pile of wood scraps near the door. It’s a simple life here, just measuring twice and cutting once. We’re just local people doing what we know.
