Shradha Ladies Fashion Gallery is at Shop No 1 in Kahadoji Bazar. This is right in the middle of General Bazar in Secunderabad. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets with shoppers looking for a bargain. Being at Shop No 1 means we’re right there at the entrance of the lane. It gets very busy, and sometimes people just stand in our doorway to get out of the sun. We have a lot of different things for women, mostly piled up on the counters. The shop isn't very wide, so it feels a bit cramped when there are more than two customers inside. We have some old mirrors on the walls that have seen better days, but they still work. The floor is just simple tiles. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background to pass the time. My brother and I take turns running the place. We don’t have any fancy lighting, just the regular tube lights that flicker sometimes when the voltage drops. General Bazar is a loud place, full of life and people arguing over prices. We just stay in our little corner and do what we need to do. We’ve seen many shops come and go, but we’ve stayed here in this same spot for quite a while. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our job and we do it every day.
