Shanthi Hair Dressing Saloon

Shanthi Hair Dressing Saloon is located at Door No 1-2-43 in Domalguda. We are right in the Kaman Lane area, which is a busy part of Hyderabad to be in. The shop has been around for quite a few years now. The wooden cabinets where we keep our towels and razors are starting to show their age, but they still hold everything just fine. We have a few heavy barber chairs that lean back when someone needs a shave. The floor is a bit uneven in the corner near the sink, so you have to watch your step. We get a lot of students and office workers because of where we are situated between Domalguda and Himayat Nagar. In the mornings, it’s mostly quiet, just the sound of the ceiling fan whirring and the snip-snip of the scissors. We keep a jar of combs soaking in blue liquid on the counter. There’s an old clock on the wall that is always five minutes fast, but we never bothered to fix it. We don't have a computer or anything like that; we just write down what we earn in a small notebook at the end of the day. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. Most people come in, get their hair done, and talk about the cricket scores or the weather before heading back out.
