If you are looking for Shakthi Fashions, we are located at Shop No. 2 in building 1-169/2 over in Nizam Peth, Kkat Palli. It’s a small shop right on the main stretch where all the local people do their shopping. We opened this place because we wanted to bring some good clothing options to the neighborhood without making it too expensive. The shop is usually full of different fabrics and ready-made pieces hanging from the walls. It’s a bit crowded inside, especially when we get a new shipment in, but that’s half the fun of it. We spend a lot of time talking to the ladies who come in looking for something specific for a wedding or a festival. It’s a lively environment and there’s always some gossip to catch up on while people browse. We don’t have any professional models or fancy displays, just some mannequins in the window that we change every now and then. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to show the colors of the fabric, but we make do. It’s a family-run kind of thing and we take pride in knowing our regular customers by name. Nizam Peth is a great place to be because there’s always something happening outside the door. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see who the day brings in. It is just a normal shop for normal people.
