Satyanarana Saloon

Koti is one of those places in Hyderabad that never seems to sleep. There are always people moving, buses honking, and students running around. Our saloon is right in the middle of all that. It’s a small shop, and we’ve kept it pretty much the same for years. We just have the basic barber chairs and the usual tools for cutting hair and shaving. Most of our customers are men from the local area who just want a quick trim or a clean shave before they go to work. We don't do anything very fancy here. If you want a basic haircut that looks decent, this is the place. We have a couple of ceiling fans that struggle a bit when it gets really hot in the summer, but they do the job. The radio is usually playing some old songs in the background. We don't really have a waiting room, just a wooden bench where you can sit and read the newspaper while you wait for your turn. It gets a bit dusty because of the main road, so we spend a lot of time sweeping up hair and wiping down the glass. We know many of our customers by their first names because they have been coming here since they were young. It’s a very straightforward business. We open up in the morning, do our work, and head home when the sun goes down. Nothing complicated about it.
