It’s a working boutique, so there’s always the sound of scissors or the sewing machine humming in the background. I usually have a radio playing somewhere just to keep things from being too quiet. Kukatpally is a busy part of Hyderabad, but our little corner in Vivakanand a Nagar is a bit more relaxed. We don't have a big corporate team, it’s just us doing the work day in and day out. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps of cloth by the end of the day, and we have to do a big sweep before we go home. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We just try to make sure the clothes look the way they are supposed to. People around here know us by name, and that’s how we like it. We usually open up early before the traffic gets too bad and stay until the orders are finished for the day.
