You can find S. M. Exporter & Importers at 204 Ewsh in the New Santosh Nagar Colony. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, though things can pick up when people are heading home from work. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a bit, handling both sides of the trade. It’s mostly just us sitting around a couple of desks with the fan going, trying to keep track of what’s coming in and what’s heading out. The paperwork for importing can be a real headache sometimes, especially with all the new rules that seem to pop up every other month. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most of our work comes from just knowing people and keeping things simple. When you walk into 204, you’ll see some files stacked up and probably a half-empty tea cup somewhere. It’s a very practical setup. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking tracking numbers and making sure the customs stuff is sorted out. New Santosh Nagar is a decent place to be based, even if it’s a bit of a drive from the main hubs. We like the fact that it’s not right in the middle of the loudest part of the city. We just get on with the daily tasks of moving goods and hope the logistics don't break down on us. That's how we spend our weeks.
