Als Global Exim

Our office is tucked away in Shyam Nagar, right near the Golkonda Hotel in Masabtank. It’s a busy part of Hyderabad, so there’s always a lot of traffic and noise outside our windows. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through shipping papers. Being in the exim business means there is always a lot of back and forth with different ports and customs. It’s not always exciting stuff, mostly just making sure the paperwork is filled out correctly so things don't get stuck. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way for the most part. It’s easier to keep track of everything when it’s just a few of us handling the accounts. You won't see any big neon signs at 10-1-18/1/2. We just have a regular desk setup where we drink way too much tea and try to figure out logistics. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to scramble to find out why. It’s just the nature of moving goods around. People stop by to talk about sourcing products or finding new markets. We try to give them a straight answer based on what we've seen happen at the docks. We don't promise anything we can't actually do. It’s a decent living and we like being right here in the heart of the city where everything is happening. We keep the doors open and just get on with it.
