Royal Mens Salon

This is Royal Mens Salon, and we are situated at Shop no 2 on the Anwaruloom College Road in Mallepally. A good way to find us is to look for the Prince Hotel, because we are right behind it. Being near the college means there are always students around and the street is usually full of energy. It’s a basic salon for men, and we don't go in for anything too complicated. We have our chairs set up and the mirrors are kept clean, and that’s about it. The shop isn't very large, but it’s enough space for what we do. Every morning we sweep the floor and get the towels ready. It’s a lot of standing on our feet, but we’re used to it by now. The area around Mallepally has a lot of small eateries and shops, so there’s always a smell of food in the air from the nearby hotels. Sometimes it gets loud with the traffic from the main road, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We get a mix of young guys from the college and older men who have lived in the colony for years. It’s a neighborhood place where people know each other. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just open the shutters, do the work, and go home at the end of the day. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the community.
