Down in Gajuwaka, specifically Plot No. 7 in D Block of Autonagar, you’ll find the site for Royal Line Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd. Being in an industrial zone like this, our neighbors are mostly fabrication shops and mechanic yards. It gets incredibly hot out here, which is a bit of a contrast to the ice cream we spend our time making inside. The facility isn't anything elaborate. We have the cooling units, the mixing machines, and a lot of freezer space to keep everything solid. Most of our day is spent moving heavy cartons and checking the temperature gauges to make sure things are running right. There isn't a storefront for people to visit, as we mostly focus on getting the product out to the delivery trucks. The sounds of Autonagar are pretty constant, with a lot of metalwork and engine noise from the nearby plots. We usually take our breaks in a small room near the gate, just watching the trucks go by. We have been at Plot No. 7 for a long time, and the work hasn't changed much over the years. We make it, we freeze it, and we ship it. It is honest, hard work that keeps everyone busy. We don't bother with fancy displays or polished ads. We just make sure the machines are clean and the ice cream stays frozen until it leaves Gajuwaka. It's a lot of work but someone has to do it.
