Rose Sweet & General Store

Our shop, Rose Sweet & General Store, is at Shop No 11-2-276/10 on Nampally Road in Hyderabad. We are situated near Tek Ki Masjid and just opposite Lakdi Ka Taal, which are well-known landmarks in this area. Being on Nampally Road means there is a constant stream of traffic and people moving past us. We have a mix of things here, including sweets and general household items, so it's a bit of a variety. The smell of the sweets sometimes mixes with the smell of the street outside, which is just part of being in this busy neighborhood. We spend our mornings setting out the displays and making sure everything looks okay for the day. It’s a lot of work to keep both the sweet section and the general goods section running at the same time. People stop by for a quick snack or to pick up things they forgot to buy at the larger markets. The counter is usually cluttered with small items and the ledger we use for keeping track of sales. We don't have any corporate training or anything; we just learned how to do this by doing it every day. It’s often noisy because of the location, but we’ve gotten used to the horns and the shouting. It’s just how things are at our little spot on the road, where we keep things moving for the local crowd.
