The shop is tucked into Old Malakpet lane, right near the water tank. If you know this part of Hyderabad, you know it gets quite busy with people moving around all day. Raja Latest Hair Style has been sitting here for a while now, just a regular place with a few chairs and mirrors where men come to get their hair sorted. We usually have the radio playing or some local news on the small television in the corner. It is a small space at Shop no:-16-9-457/6/b, but it works for us and the people who live nearby. Most of the folks who walk in are from the neighborhood, people we have seen growing up or just neighbors stopping by for a quick trim before going to work. The floor often has bits of hair scattered around until we get a second to sweep it up between customers. We start early in the morning when the lane is still a bit quiet and keep going until late evening. The chairs are old but comfortable enough. There is always a bit of talk about the weather or what is happening in the city while we work.
