Pochampally Silks Sarees

Pochampally Silks Sarees is on Tilak Road, specifically at 4-1-938-27&28. Having two units next to each other gives us a bit more room, but it’s still a lot of work to manage. Tilak Road is quite a famous place for people looking for clothes, so there is always someone walking by. We spend most of our mornings unpacking heavy boxes that come in from the weavers. The silk feels cool when you first touch it, which is nice when the weather is boiling outside. Sometimes the colors of the fabric are so bright they almost hurt your eyes when the sun hits them through the window. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just pull up the metal shutters and wait for the day to start. Some days are very slow and we just sit and talk about the news. Other days are so frantic we don't even have a chance to eat our tiffin until four in the afternoon. We just keep the shelves as full as we can. It’s how things go in this part of the city. We have some old wooden chairs for people to sit on while they look at the stock. The wood is a bit worn down from years of use. We don't plan to change much around here.
