Pochampally Ikkat Sarees

We are located over at Plot no-57 in Sri Balaji Nagar. It’s right there on Road no-2 in Mansoorabad, not too far from the main L.B Nagar area. We decided to open this place because we've always lived around here and wanted to work close to home. The shop focuses on Ikkat sarees, which is what we know best. It’s a family-run thing, mostly. My uncle helps with the sourcing and I handle the day-to-day stuff at the store. The space isn't huge, but we have enough shelves to hold a good variety. Sometimes the colors of the fabric look different under our shop lights than they do outside in the sun, so we often tell people to take a piece to the door to see it better. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but once you find us, it's pretty straightforward. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding. It’s hard to keep things neat when people are looking through the piles. We don't have a website or anything, just this physical shop. We like talking to the customers about where the patterns come from. It makes the day go by faster. We’ve been here a few years and the neighbors are all friendly. It’s a quiet street for the most part, which we like. The shop is usually open until late evening unless something comes up.
