New Famous Steel Furniture Works

Our workshop is at 2-80/6 along Bollarum Road in Miyapur. You can usually hear us before you see us because there is always some welding or metal cutting going on. New Famous Steel Furniture Works is a place where we actually make things by hand. It’s not a quiet office. There is a lot of iron, steel, and sparks flying around most of the day. We make things like almirahs, racks, and frames. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually covered in grease or dust. We’ve been in Miyapur for a while, and people around here know us when they need something sturdy that won't break easily. The shop is a bit cluttered because we have raw materials coming in and finished pieces waiting to go out. It’s not organized like a mall store, but we know where everything is. The summer heat makes the metal hot to touch, so we start early in the morning to get the hard stuff done. Sometimes a customer comes in with a specific size they need for their kitchen or shop, and we just sketch it out and start building. It’s honest work, and it feels good to see a finished cupboard being loaded onto a rickshaw. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth from the neighbors on Bollarum Road is usually enough to keep us busy. It’s just a regular local shop doing its thing, day in and day out. We just keep our heads down.
