Naveen Handloom Fabrics

Naveen Handloom Fabrics is located at Plot No. 45 in Telephone Colony, R. K. Puram. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s not as chaotic as the industrial zones. We have our setup here where we work with different kinds of fabrics. You can often hear the sound of the looms or the clicking of the machines if you walk past. We’ve been doing this for quite some time. The space is filled with rolls of cloth and different threads. It’s a bit messy, but it’s an organized mess that makes sense to us. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule. We start when we start and we finish when the work is done. A lot of the patterns we use have been around for generations. We aren't trying to reinvent anything, just trying to keep the tradition of handloom alive in our own small way. The people in Telephone Colony know us well. Sometimes they stop by just to see what we are working on. We don’t have a big storefront with lights and signs. It’s just a gate and a workshop where the real work happens. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We focus on the quality of the weave and making sure the colors look right. There’s a lot of patience involved in this kind of work, and we don't like to rush things if we can help it.
