If you have ever been down Nampally Station Road, you know how loud and chaotic it gets with all the trains and the people rushing by. Our shop is right in the middle of that at No. 5-8-52/B. We have been moving sofas and wooden cupboards around this floor for a long time. The smell of sawed wood and polish is something you just get used to after the first week. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a place where things are stacked up and you have to walk carefully so you don't bump into a table leg. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we are always wiping things down. Most of our customers are people who just got off a train or live in the old parts of the city. They want something that lasts and doesn't cost a fortune. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what kind of wood they prefer or if a bed will fit in their small room. It’s heavy work, and our backs usually ache by the time we lock up at night. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been on this road forever and people know where to find us. It’s a simple business, built on hard work and the noise of the Nampally station right outside our front door.
