Unique Furniture

You can find us at Dai Bagh in Asif Nagar. Unique Furniture is a small operation, mostly just a few of us. The address is 12-1-493/A/8/2, which is a bit of a puzzle for the delivery drivers sometimes. We have our workshop right there where we cut the wood and assemble all the pieces. It’s a dusty place because of all the sawing and sanding we do. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and know most of the shop owners around here. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights or sales staff. Usually, customers just come in and look at what we are currently building on the floor. Sometimes we have finished sofas or tables sitting out, but mostly it's work in progress. The smell of sawdust and wood glue is always around. We take our time with the joints and the finishing to make sure it's solid. It’s just a few of us working here day in and day out. We use manual tools for some things and machines for the bigger cuts. It’s a bit cluttered with wood scraps and old furniture we are fixing up. We don't do much advertising; people just see our sign or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a basic business. We just charge what's needed to keep the shop going. On rainy days, we move everything inside so the timber stays dry.
