Manoj Kumar Mens Parlour

Manoj Kumar Mens Parlour is over in Hyderguda, Attapur. We are pretty easy to find if you look for Pillar No 143. That flyover makes a lot of shade but also a lot of noise. The shop is small but it fits what we need. We have the usual barber chairs and a couple of mirrors that have seen better days. The floor is usually covered in hair clippings because someone is always in the chair. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy lights or air conditioning that works all the time. Sometimes we just leave the door open to catch a breeze. Men from the nearby apartments come by after work. We talk about the traffic or the weather while we work. It’s mostly just haircuts and shaves. The towels are clean but they might be a bit frayed at the edges from being washed so much. We have a small TV in the corner that usually plays the news or a cricket match if one is on. It’s a bit cramped when three people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind much. We’ve been at this location for a while now. You get used to the sound of the vehicles zooming past the pillar outside. It’s just a normal neighborhood shop. We start early and stay late until the last person is done. There isn't much to it, just a place for a haircut. The tea guy comes around twice a day which is nice for us.
