You can find us at 1-4-941/98 in the Bakaram area of Hyderabad. It is a busy neighborhood, and our place is right in the thick of it. Mahidhara Farmers Producer Company Limited is a setup where a bunch of us got together to try and get a better handle on the market. Usually, individual farmers get the short end of the stick, so we thought working as a group would make more sense for everyone. We handle all sorts of things from this office, from sorting out supplies to finding buyers for what we grow. It is not a glamorous job. Most days involve a lot of shouting on the phone and looking over ledgers to make sure the math adds up. We have people coming in and out of the Bakaram office all day, usually with some kind of news from the fields or a question about prices. We don't have a big marketing department or any of that stuff. We just rely on word of mouth and the fact that we have been around for a while. Everyone here knows what it is like to work the land, so we don't need to explain ourselves too much to each other. It is a practical way to run things, and it keeps us busy. We are just trying to make a decent living for the farmers in our group and keep the operation running smooth.
