Maanyata Sarees

Maanyata Sarees is located at Flat 101 in Rajiv Nagar. It’s not a big storefront on a main street; instead, we operate out of this flat which makes it feel a bit more personal. When you walk in, you’ll see piles of sarees in different colors and materials everywhere. We’ve had to get creative with storage to make sure everything fits. Rajiv Nagar is a decent place to be, and having the business in a flat means it’s usually quite calm. We spend hours unfolding and refolding the silk and cotton fabrics because they have to be handled carefully. It’s a lot of manual work that most people don’t see. Sometimes we have tea while going over the new stock that arrived. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy ads for us. We just rely on the fact that people in the area know we have good sarees. We started small and just kept going, adding more styles as we went along. The neighbors are used to seeing people come by to look at the collections. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, but we find a way to organize it all. Working here feels less like an office and more like a busy home where the main focus is just beautiful cloth. We don’t use a lot of jargon, just simple talk about weave and weight, making sure everyone finds what they need for their special occasion.
