Designer Blouses

You can find us at 12-6-2-211/3 in Viveknagar. Most people just look for the Narayana Concept School lane in Kukatpally because we are right beside it. It's a handy landmark. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough space for the machines and the fabric. I’ve always liked clothes, so starting Designer Blouses seemed like a natural thing to do. Every day is different here. Some days we have a lot of work piled up, and other days it’s a bit slower, which gives us time to clean up the scraps of cloth on the floor. It gets pretty loud with the sewing machines going all at once, but I like that sound. It means we are busy. We don't do any big marketing. Usually, someone tells their neighbor about us, and then that neighbor shows up a week later. That’s how it works in Kukatpally. The lane can get a bit crowded when school lets out, but otherwise, it's a decent spot. We have some tea, talk about the patterns, and just get on with the sewing. I try to keep things organized, but with so many threads and needles, it’s a bit of a struggle sometimes. It's just a small local business trying to do honest work for the people around here. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our hands and our machines.
