Kondapur Women Farmers Producer Company Limited is located C/O Velugu Mandala Samakya Kondapur, right by the Mpdo Office in Kondapur Village and Mandal. This group was started by women from the local area who are all involved in agriculture. We use the space at the Samakya to meet up and get our business sorted. It’s a very practical arrangement. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so we just focus on the essentials. Most of us are busy in the fields for a good part of the day, but we make time to come to the office to handle the paperwork. Kondapur is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we don't need a lot of signs. We just do our work and talk to our neighbors. The company is our way of making sure the women farmers here get a fair shake. We deal with seeds, fertilizers, and selling the harvest. It’s a lot of coordination, and sometimes it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day. We don't have any corporate polish. We just speak plainly and do what needs to be done. Being near the Mpdo office helps us stay on top of things. We are just a group of hardworking women trying to keep our farms going and support our village. It is a slow process, but we are getting better at managing the business side of the farm as a team.
