You can find us on the first floor over at 8-1-423/31 in Diamond Hills. We are right near the Masjid, so we hear the prayers throughout the day. It’s a busy part of Golconda. Knoxia Genetic Seeds Private Limited is tucked away in this building where the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. Carrying heavy bags of seeds up and down isn't much fun, but we’ve gotten used to the workout. The office is a bit small, and we have shelves lined with jars and packets everywhere. It smells like earth and dried paper in here. We spend a lot of time looking through magnifying glasses at different samples. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to close the windows, even when it's hot. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. We use a lot of whiteboards to keep track of our batches, though the markers are always drying out. My pen always seems to run out of ink when I need it most. There’s a cat that hangs around the entrance downstairs, and we sometimes give it a bit of milk when we come in. We are just a few people trying to make sure the seed quality is where it should be. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. The neighborhood is friendly, and we know the shopkeepers downstairs. They tell us when a delivery truck is blocking the lane.
