Knit My Saree

Our shop is at 3-6-380 on Street Number 2 in Himayat Nagar. It’s a fairly straightforward place. We handle a lot of sarees here, which is what the name Knit My Saree suggests. Being in Himayat Nagar means we are right in the middle of a lot of activity every single day. Street 2 is usually busy with people going to and from work or running errands. We started this because we liked working with traditional clothes. It is not a very big shop, just a single room where we keep our stock and do our work. We spend most of our time checking the weave and making sure everything looks right before it goes out. There’s a lot of folding involved in this job, which takes up more time than you’d think. We aren't a big chain or anything corporate. It is just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us for a while. People around here know us as the place to go when they need something specific for a saree. We don't have fancy displays or bright flashing signs outside. We just have a small sign and a lot of cloth inside. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the boxes, but we try to keep it tidy enough for people to walk through. It is just a regular local business. We’ve been here for a while and we plan on staying for more years to come. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy.
