Kismat Beauty Parlour

Our place is called Kismat Beauty Parlour and it sits right on Station Road in Nampally. Being so close to the Hyderabad railway station means there is never a dull moment. You can hear the trains and the announcements if it’s quiet enough, but it rarely is. There are always people walking past the door with suitcases or rushing to catch a bus. The shop is small and practical. I have my mirrors, my chairs, and all my tools laid out where I can reach them. I started this in Nampally because it's where everything happens. The walls are painted a simple color and I have a few posters up. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan stays on high speed. I don't have fancy furniture, just things that work. Many of the women who come in are local residents, but sometimes we get travelers who need to look decent for a wedding or an event they just arrived for. I keep some water for the customers because the Hyderabad heat is no joke. I handle most of the work myself. It's a lot of standing on my feet all day, but I don't mind it much. It’s just a regular local parlor where people can come to get their hair or skin done without any fuss. We’ve been here at this address for quite some time now, just serving whoever walks through the door.
