Karunadu Fpo Federation

Karunadu Fpo Federation is set up at H No. 8-10-267th in the New Housing Colony, right near Ganesh Maidan. Being near the Maidan is helpful because everyone knows where that is. We are a federation for farmer producer organizations, so we spend a lot of time talking to farmers and people from the local villages. It’s not a corporate office with fancy carpets; it’s a practical space where people can come and sit and talk about their problems or their harvests. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who handle the coordination. Sometimes the office gets crowded when a group of farmers comes in, and other times it’s just one or two of us doing the accounts. The New Housing Colony is a pretty standard neighborhood. We don’t have a website with a bunch of promises on it. We just try to help organize the farmers so they can get better results. It’s a lot of meetings and a lot of listening. Sometimes there is a lot of noise from the Maidan if there is an event going on, but we don’t mind. It’s just part of being in this community. We’ve been here for a while and the work we do is just basic, honest stuff that helps the people around here. We just do our bit every day.
