Vs Couture

Vs Couture is over in Natharam Karthikeya Nagar. It’s a small place where we handle a lot of fabric and thread every day. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the sound of the sewing machines going fast. There are scraps of cloth all over the floor, and we try to sweep them up, but they just seem to reappear five minutes later. We do a lot of tailoring and designing for the people who live around here. It’s not like those big fashion houses you see on TV; it’s more about making sure a dress fits right or a shirt looks decent for a wedding. We have measuring tapes draped around our necks most of the time. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when there’s a big festival coming up, and we have to stay late working under the tube lights. My eyes get a bit tired after staring at the needles for too long. We have a few mirrors on the walls so people can see how they look. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice, but it can get a bit lonely if no one drops by for a chat. We aren't trying to be world-famous. We just like making clothes that people feel okay wearing. It’s a simple life of stitching and cutting here in Karthikeya Nagar.
