Karthikeya Hair Saloon

Karthikeya Hair Saloon is located in Street No. 1 in Bagh Lingampally. We are right beside the Moon Cafe Hotel, which makes it easy for people to find us after they have their tea. Hyderabad is a busy city, and this area near 1-8-747/8/1 is no exception. Our shop is just a regular barber shop where men come to get a clean shave or a standard haircut. We have been here for some time now. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit-down. On weekends, there is usually a line of people waiting outside, so we have a few plastic chairs for them. We don't use any complicated machines, just the usual scissors, combs, and trimmers that work well. Sometimes the noise from the street gets loud, but we are used to it by now. The mirrors have some spots on them, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a working shop. We talk about cricket or the local news while we work. Most of our customers live nearby and have been coming to us since they were kids. It's a straightforward business. We show up, open the shutters, sweep the floor, and start the day. Being next to the hotel helps because travelers sometimes stop in for a quick trim before their meetings or after arriving in the city. It is just a plain, local spot for a haircut.
