Kalpana Hair Cutting Salon

Kalpana Hair Cutting Salon is tucked away at 3-5-169/1 in the Narayanguda area of Hyderabad. We are right opposite Shanti Theatre, so on movie days, the whole street is full of bikes and people. Our shop has been around this YMCA corner for quite some time now. It is a straightforward place where men and kids come to get their hair cut or a quick shave. We don't have a big waiting lounge or fancy coffee machines, just a few sturdy chairs and some old magazines to read while you wait your turn. The mirrors have seen a lot of years, and the sound of the clippers is pretty much constant from morning till we close at night. I usually start early to catch the people going to work. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. Most of the guys who come in just want a simple style that doesn't take too much time to maintain. We know most of our customers by name since they live in the nearby lanes or work in the shops around here. It is a busy life running a barber shop in such a crowded part of the city, but we like the pace. We just try to keep things honest and make sure everyone leaves looking a bit sharper than when they walked in. It is just a small, local barber shop that has stayed the same while the city changes around us.
