Jaya Emu Farms

Jaya Emu Farms is located in Sainikpuri. It’s a bit different from the usual businesses you find around here because we deal with emus. If you’ve never seen one, they are big birds, and they require a lot of space and attention. Our farm in Sainikpuri is where everything happens. We spend our days feeding the birds, cleaning their enclosures, and making sure they are healthy. It’s outdoor work, so we are at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, it gets muddy, and when it’s hot, we’re all sweating. But that’s just farm life. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning. We have a small shed where we keep our records and some supplies. People in the neighborhood know us because you can’t really hide a bunch of emus. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm in the world. We just want to take care of our birds properly. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the city’s main noise. We’ve been doing this for a while and have learned a lot about what these birds need. It’s not a job for everyone. You have to be okay with getting your hands dirty and being on your feet all day. We like it here in Sainikpuri. It’s home for us and the emus too.
