In Style

Our place is called In Style and we are based in Jamuna Towers on Nalgonda Cross Road. It’s a very busy part of the New Malakpet area. If you look across the road, you can see Yashoda Hospital. There is always an ambulance siren or a lot of traffic noise coming from the street. Being in a tower means we have neighbors in other businesses all around us. The shop is a decent size with several chairs. We have some tiles on the floor that are a bit chipped at the corners. The lighting is okay, but we mostly rely on the light coming through the front. We have some basic cabinets where we keep the towels and the hair products. It’s not a luxury setup, just a functional space for people to get their hair done. We get people who are waiting for someone at the hospital or residents from the Malakpet area. It stays quite dusty because of the main road, so we are always cleaning the glass. The chairs are old-fashioned and heavy. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic and decide to come in. It is a long day for us, standing on our feet and dealing with the heat. We just keep the water running and the scissors moving. It’s a plain, honest shop on a very busy road. We close up when the street lights come on properly.
