Iha Botique

The shop is located at House No 1-99 on Plot No 16, right along Ayyappa Society Road in Jubilee Hills. Most people know this part of Jubilee Hills as a busy area, and Iha Botique fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood. We have a lot of fabric rolls sitting around and the sewing machines are usually running from the morning until we close up late in the evening. It is not a very big space, but we make it work. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded with all the thread and needles and pieces of cloth that end up on the floor while we are working on a dress. The sunlight comes in through the front door in the afternoon, which helps when you are trying to match the color of a thread to a specific piece of silk. Living and working in Ayyappa Society means there are always people walking by or cars parking nearby. It can get a bit hectic when we have a lot of orders piled up on the counter. We try to keep things organized, but when you are busy cutting patterns and pins are flying everywhere, it stays a bit messy. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us doing the stitching and checking the measurements. It is just a regular place where we spend our hours making clothes and making sure the seams are straight. We have been at Plot No 16 for a while now and the neighborhood has changed a lot, but we just keep doing what we do. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific shade of lining that a customer requested, which can take up a lot of time. We just focus on getting the work done one stitch at a time and hope the electricity doesn't go out while we are in the middle of a difficult seam.
