Hussain & Ibrahim Architects.

Our office is up on the seventh floor of Paiga Plaza in Basheerbagh. It’s flat number 7. Being that high up gives us a decent view of the city, which is nice when you need a break from looking at a screen. Hussain and Ibrahim started this together, and we’ve just kept going. It’s a busy office. There is always someone coming in with a question or a new set of measurements. We do a lot of architectural work for different kinds of buildings. Some are big, some are small, but they all need the same amount of attention to detail. We aren't very formal here. You’ll usually find us in casual clothes, drinking tea and looking over some blueprints. We don't like corporate talk. We just want to figure out the best way to use a piece of land. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we have to apologize to people when they finally get to the seventh floor. We put a lot of hours into making sure our drawings are accurate because mistakes on paper cost a lot of money in real life. We try to be careful. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we’ve been doing it for a long time, so we’re used to the pressure. We just take it one project at a time and try to stay organized. That's about it for us.
