Heera Cosmetic & Barber Materials is located on Nampally Station Road in Abids, right behind the Annapurna Hotel. If you walk down Old Kattal Mandi, you’ll see us. We are more of a supply shop than a salon, though we see a lot of barbers coming in. We sell all the things a shop needs, from scissors and combs to different creams and powders. The shelves are usually packed pretty tight because we try to keep a lot of stock in such a small space. It gets dusty sometimes with all the traffic from the station road, but we try to keep it tidy. Being in Abids means there is always someone walking past the door. We’ve been at 5-4-587/1 for a long time now. People come to us because they know we carry the basic stuff they use every day in their own shops. We aren't sales people really, we just show you where the stuff is and tell you the price. Sometimes we have folks looking for specific cosmetics they can't find elsewhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside, but we make it work. The area is old Hyderabad, full of history and busy markets. We like being part of that energy. We open early because that’s when the barbers need their supplies before they start their own day. It's a straightforward way to earn a living in a very busy part of the city.
