Hair Wave Men

New Mallepally is a busy part of Hyderabad. Our shop, Hair Wave Men, is tucked away a bit. If you know Prince Hotel, we are right behind it in that lane. It’s Shop Number 11-3-544. The lane can get tight with bikes sometimes. We open up in the morning and start getting things ready. It’s mostly local guys from the neighborhood who drop by. We’ve got the regular chairs and the big mirrors. Sometimes the radio is playing in the background. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s not too loud either. We spend a lot of time just talking to whoever is in the chair. It’s mostly about the weather or what’s happening on the street. Mallepally has a certain feel to it, and we are just a small part of that. The shop has been there for a bit. We don't have big signs or anything. Just the name on the front. We see the same faces every month. It’s a routine. You get your hair cut, maybe a shave, and then you’re on your way. The tiles on the floor are a bit worn out from all the walking. We don’t mind. It shows people come here. It’s just a regular men’s hair shop. Nothing more to it. We just do the work and close up when the day is done. We keep things simple and easy for everyone who stops in.
