Geethas Boutique

If you go behind the Radhika Theatre in Sri Ram Nagar, you will find us at Shop No.9 inside the Divya SAI Residency. We are located in the Anupuram ECIL area. This is where we run Geethas Boutique. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main road, which is nice when we are trying to concentrate on stitching. We have been in this shop for a bit now, dealing with all sorts of ladies' outfits. There’s always a pile of colorful fabrics sitting on the counter. We spend a lot of time on the machines, just getting the seams right. It’s a small operation, mostly just focused on getting the work finished for the local residents here in Ecil. The shop stays pretty cool because of how the building is set up. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations. We just have our racks of clothes and the work table in the center. Sometimes the neighbors from the residency pop in just to chat while we work. It’s a friendly kind of place. We try to keep things organized but when it’s busy, there are threads and scraps of cloth everywhere on the floor. It’s just part of the job. Most people around here know where we are since the theatre is such a big landmark. We just keep our heads down and keep the needles moving through the day. Sometimes we stay late when there is a festival coming up.
